As I
Twittered/Tweeted/Twiddled, I spent some time this weekend amusing myself by making ridiculous hair accessories for the girls. It was a lot of fun and got me in touch with my inner
Denckhoff.
Miss A was so inspired that she threw on her flower girl dress from four years ago and
festooned it with my hair clippies. Then it came time for a family trip to Wal-Mart. Then G put on his "Thing" costume. And YES, this
is how they went to Wal-Mart. With fake crocs, of course.

Now you see Mr. P getting in on the action. In these photos you can see
G's head trauma...

...and in this one you may be able to make out the remains of
P's.

Note that once she is sharing the limelight with all her siblings, Miss A's enthusiasm turns to dismay.

But, add a pair of pants and three pairs of sandals, and this is how we went to Wal-Mart.
Also, I have a post up at HDYDI.
You crack me up!! I love the hair-thingy's--I am going to copy you!! Oh, and I would totally take John (my 4-yr-old) to Walmart in his Spiderman costume, if he didn't scream bloody murder every time I force it on him!
ReplyDeleteAnd, contrary to rumors started on my blog comments...my house is ALWAYS a mess, as housekeeping is not my thing. Tonight I was forced to clean the kids bathroom after an unfortunate vomit/flu incident...and I am positive the puke was the least disgusting thing I had to disinfect in there! No joke. I'll post pics of my disaster of a basement this week...promise. No pics of the puke/germy bathroom though, sorry.
My daughter would have fit in with your kids perfectly - today she is wearing a pink dress over a dark pink skirt over brown leggings, with green/white/brown striped socks and purple crocs. Add a blue jacket and bike helmet for the trip to school...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the long distance support, by the way.
the boys look SO big!!! they are almost as tall as A! so fun to see recent photos!
ReplyDeleteand the other day we went to target and in the middle of the aisle bailey lifted her dress to and shouted, "mom! i'm still NANDO!"
Oh yes. no underwear. COMMANDO!
So at least yours were dressed! :)
I love the hair thingys. I also love your post on HDYDI. I'm just full of love for you today.
