I had no clue what to write about tonight, but I saw that Mommy, Esq. updated on her daughter's failure to thrive and other issues (good news!) so I'll hit that topic too.
Thanks to your awesome advice, Hanes is still failing to thrive, but she's failing less spectacularly. I weighed her and -- I actually can't fully accept that this is real -- she weighed 26.2 lbs in her clothes (undies!!!) and socks. If that is true, she has finally tripled her birth weight in the last month. This puts her at... still not the 3rd percentile for weight, but HEY SHE TRIPLED HER BIRTH WEIGHT! And she's at 18th percentile for height.
It's pretty much an annoying eating free for all here. But at least my baby has finally tripled her birth weight, at the age of 41 months.

When it comes to children and pets, I can be extremely patient, and I
confess to being rather proud of this trait. A lot of people tire of my
daughter M’s ...

I thought of you this morning. L peed all over the bathroom last night...honestly, I am not sure how he managed it. I cleaned the floor last night as well as I could due to extreme fatigue and annoyance. This morning, the bathroom still smelled like pee and the floor was sticky. Does it offend you that I immediately thought about you?
ReplyDeleteGood for her! And for you for being as patient as possible. One thing that my husband and I now struggle with is trying not to be short order cooks when the kids don't eat - they need to eat what we give them. Our nanny thinks we are pushovers. Those tiny girls are stubborn aren't they?
ReplyDeleteYay Haney!!!
